FAQs
We appreciate you all so much for making the trip for our wedding. We hope this is as great as an experience for you as it is for us. In preparation for your travel and the weekend, we're sure you have some questions. If we missed anything, please contact Carl or Ashley for any additional questions or concerns.
What time should I arrive to the church for the wedding?
Please arrive as close to 2:30 PM as possible. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. Please see the “Wedding Day” tab for details.
May I invite a guest?
The number indicated on your Reception card (sent with your invitation) reflects the number of members in your household invited.
Are children welcomed to the wedding?
Children are welcome to the ceremony at the church, but the reception is an ADULTS ONLY event. The number indicated on your RSVP card reflects the number of members in your household invited.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception are both indoors.
Will there be transportation from the church to the reception venue?
Yes. If you’d prefer not to drive, please complete the form on the “Wedding Day” tab to sign up to ride the charter bus from the church to the reception venue. You will be able to leave your car parked in the church parking lot.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
On the RSVP form there will be an option to select your choice for dinner and to share any dietary restrictions that you may have.
If my reception card denotes multiple guests, How do I RSVP for more than one person?
Submit the RSVP form with ONE PERSON'S information. Once submitted, you will be given the option to “click here” to fill it out the form for the next person. Repeat until you have RSVP'd for everyone in your party matching the number of people reflected on your reception card.
Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?
Please check the “Weekend Events” tab for details about the activities going on during our wedding weekend.
Where should I stay?
We have selected 2 options for our guests to stay for the weekend. We’ve reserved a room block at the Hilton Garden Inn Tinley Park. This hotel is about 15 min away from the reception venue, so if you’d prefer to have a shorter drive at the end of the night we recommend the Hilton Garden Inn in Tinley Park. We’ve also negotiated a reduced rate for the Hyatt Place in Hyde Park. This hotel is about 15 min away from the church, so if you’d prefer to stay in the city of Chicago and be closer to the ceremony venue, we’d recommend the Hyatt Place Chicago - South. Please check the “Travel & Accomodations” for rates and instructions on how to book your room.
Is there a gift registry?
We decided to opt out of the traditional wedding registry. We are blessed to have everything we need for our home. For those guests who would like to contribute in some way, there will be a wishing well available at the ceremony and reception for guests to gift that way. If you’d like to give online, please click here.
